The rural Northwest is always the most brutal part of our journey for coverage. Northern California is where we find the most all-carrier dead zones—there's a stretch between Eureka and Grants Pass, OR, where the best network is a satellite phone.
Short of a satellite phone, it's AT&T. As we saw elsewhere, T-Mobile shows the highest speeds but still falls down on reliability in the most rural areas. AT&T has second-place speeds, but superior reliability.
