Our Margherita Flatbread Pizza is made with flatbread, cheese, pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, tomatoes & basil. You can use this recipe Homemade Naan Bread or Instant Garlic Naan recipe for flatbread.
Well, this Pizza actually does not need any introduction. As the name states – dress your flatbread with pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce and all your favorite pizza toppings of your choice.
Make this quick and easy Naan Pizza because you don’t need many ingredients. It’s simpler than any homemade pizza but nothing short of deliciousness! Ready in a ji*zzy.
If you’ve never made this 10 minutes kids friendly pizza at home, you’re actually about to be surprised as to how quick and easy it is to make. All you need are simple ingredients from your pantry and refrigerator, a baking tray and a spoon – no special gadgets needed.

Ingredients for Easy Margherita Flatbread Pizza Recipe
This is the easiest flatbread pizza that is totally customisable. This Naan Pizza is full of cheesy goodness and takes just 10 mins to make. Use the ingredients that are readily available at home.
What you’ll need
Naan Bread or any other flatbread – Store bought Naan bread work great for this recipe, specially because they are precooked. We are cutting down on the time needed for making and cooking the flatbread. However I do make Garlic Naan bread at home and save some for this pizza too!! Good quality Pitta bread works too.
Good Quality Flatbread = Fabulous Pizza
Sauce – Any tomato based sauce will work amazing. I like to use Pizza Sauce or Pasta Sauce or even Tomato Ketchup. If you like a change, how about using some Pesto Sauce.
Cheese – I like to use Mozzarella cheese, either sliced or grated. However you can use a combo of Mozzarella and Cheddar or any other cheese available in your refrigerator.
Toppings – Get creative with your toppings to go on your pizza. Some of the topping suggestions – tomatoes, olives, red onions, jalapenos, spinach, pineapple, sweet corn – literally anything
Italian seasoning – lends the perfect flavors to the pizza! I would recommend using a sprinkle of the seasoning in your recipe.
Garnishes – Use anything you fancy – Basil leaves, Rocket leaves
Others { Optional } – Use chilli flakes for a kick of spice . Season with salt & pepper if desired.
How to make flatbread naan pizza?
All the detailed ingredients list with measurements and instructions can be found on the printable recipe card, right at the bottom of the page. Here’s a summary on how to make it.
Preheat Oven – Preheat the Oven to 220 C. Alternatively you can use a microwave or your grill too!
Flatbread – Arrange flatbread of your choice on a baking tray.
Sauce – Spread a generous serving of any tomato based sauce, leaving the edges.
Cheese – Sprinkle a generous serving of mozzarella cheese. Add a little more if you like it extra cheesy after adding all the toppings.
Italian Seasoning – Take a generous pinch of the seasoning and sprinkle on top of the pizza.
Toppings – I like to add some tomatoes and peppers, but you can be creative and add as many toppings as you like.
Bake – Bake for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. If you are using a microwave, cook in the oven for 2 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Season, Garnish and Serve – Season with salt and pepper if you like, garnish with basil and serve hot!
What to serve with Naan Bread?
Serve Naan with curries , onion bhaji, yellow rice and raita for a fake-away night at home!

TIPS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR MAKING EASY FLATBREAD PIZZA
Good Quality Flatbread is the key. I recommend using a naan bread, pitta bread or any other good quality bread . A thinner flatbread can leave your pizza soggy.
SAUCE is the essence of the recipe. Quality tomato based sauce will work. I have used Dolmino Bolognese sauce for this recipe and pizza was out of the world.
Use tomato ketchup if you don’t have any other sauce available in your pantry. Add a sprinkle of garlic powder to it and elevate the flavors.
CHEESE – Fresh Mozzarella cheese is recommended for any pizza recipe. But you can use a combination of cheese too and make a Five Cheese Flatbread Pizza.
SEASONING – Please do not skip Italian seasoning! Alternatively you can use some dried oregano, thyme, rosemary and basil.
Like your Pizza Plain – Omit the toppings and garnishes!
I don’t have an Oven. How do Imake this flatbread pizza?
Use a microwave to cook your pizza until the cheese is melted, approximately 2 – 2 1/2 minutes.
It can also be made on Stove Top. Heat a non stick pan and spread some oil. Place the prepared Naan pizza . Cover the pizza with lid and cook in medium heat until cheese is melted.
Place it in air fryer basket and air fry at 190C for 4-5 minutes.

- 4 Naan Bread or any other Flatbread
- 4 Tbsp Pasta Sauce or Pizza Sauce or Tomato ketchup
- 1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese grated or sliced
- Italian seasoning
- 10 Cherry Tomatoes diced
- 1/2 Pepper sliced length wise
- 10 Basil Leaves
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 220 C.
Arrange the Naan breads on a baking tray.
Spread the pasta sauce on the Naan bread.
Sprinkle a layer of grated cheese or sliced cheese on the top.
Sprinkle a generous pinch of Italian seasoning.
Place the toppings of your choice.
Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Alternatively cook the naan bread in microwave until cheese is melted.
Top with Basil leaves before serving!
